Kent Ideas

Kent Ideas LTD set up the Kent Independent Trader Awards in 2012 to recognise the hard work that goes in to running your own business and encourage business growth within the County. The first Awards were held in Maidstone with roughly 100 people attending representing 53 independently owned businesses.

The 2012 KIT Awards were featured in the Kent Women in Business Magazine which generated a lot of interest for the 2013 Awards which will take place on 19th September 2013 at Bar 10, The Royal Star Arcade, Maidstone – a fitting location as it is full of independent retail outlets.

So why nominate yourself? Apart from the fact you receive positive publicity, it shows the county and your potential customers that you are still in business, going strong and looking to make your mark on the business world. It’s more than just positive press, you will have the chance to meet and network both online and offline with like minded business owners and keep the Kentish economy growing. Since the 2012 awards we have seen relationships formed that continue to develop and business relationships and collaborations get stronger. There is nothing like the support you can get from mixing with other people who, like you, want to make their business a success.

So why nominate a business you have had a great experience with? People are quick to complain when something is wrong, or about something they aren’t happy with. Nominating a business for the Kent Independent Trader Awards shows your support for the hard work that goes in to running one. We understand that people are shy, but you are welcome to nominate anonymously as long as you can give a reason relevant to your nomination. We will then take care of the rest!

Don’t just think about it, DO IT! Nominate here!

We look forward to meeting some rising Kent Business Stars at the Awards in September!
